Amy's 1st Blog :)

My name is Amy Malehorn. I am 22 years old. I’m from a very small town in Pennsylvania called Halifax. I transferred to Lock Haven from a community college in Harrisburg. My major is Special Education and I am considering taking up a minor in reading. I am a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, which is a professional coed business fraternity. This year I am taking on the position of Vice President of membership. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my friends, listening to music, and taking pictures.

Throughout the course I hope to learn a lot about technology and its usefulness. I also hope to become more comfortable and patient with using technology. I am looking forward to applying what I learn to my job in the future and everyday life.

I began using technology when I was pretty young. In elementary school we were starting to learn about computers and exploring the different things computers were capable of. Technology is a big part of life I use it everyday, whether I am using my cell phone, checking my email, listening to my ipod, or doing schoolwork. I feel like my level of technology is pretty basic, but I am open to learning new things. I am excited for this course and hoping to take what I learn and use it in the future as a teacher. I hope the things I learn can be helpful for my students and make for a rich learning experience for them.
